New Delhi, April 20: The Arvind Kejriwal led-Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday accused the Indian National Congress of playing "spoilsport" in the alliance discussions and "being unfair" by not giving any seats in Punjab and asking for too many seats in Delhi. Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that Congress is demanding three seats in Delhi and not giving us any seats in Punjab, despite having 20 MLAs and 4 MPs.

"The Congress doesn't have a single seat in Delhi, but they are demanding three seats from us. In Punjab, we have 4 MPs and 20 MLAs, yet they are not giving us any seats to contest from the state," said Sisodia while talking at a press conference in New Delhi. AAP-Congress Alliance Talks Fail, Both Parties to Go Solo in Delhi.

AAP leader also stated the grand old party doesn't have any MP or MLA in Delhi and in the previous elections, it barely managed to secure 10 per cent votes. Despite all this, AAP agreed to give them three seats in the national capital, on a condition that AAP, Jannayak Janta Party and Congress will contest together in Haryana. AAP Joins Hands With JJP in Haryana After Talks Fail With Congress.

"We are strong in Delhi, while Congress is nowhere close. In Haryana, they denied, even when we offered them seven seats. There is no hope left for a coalition with Congress. We have also closed all the negotiations now. There is no question of seat-sharing with Congress in Delhi," he said.

Meanwhile, the election for all the seven seats in the national capital will take place on May 12 in the sixth phases of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. The counting of votes will begin on May 23, 2019.
