New Delhi, March 24: The Congress on Sunday released its 9th list of 10 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019. Among prominent leaders featuring in the list, include Karti Chidambaram, son of former Union Minister P Chidambaram, from Tamil Nadu's Sivaganga and 4-time MP Tariq Anwar from his home constituency of Katihar in Bihar.
Among other key names are Haji Farooq Mir from Jammu & Kashmir's Baramulla, Hidayat Patel from Maharashtra's Akola and Uday Singh alias Pappu Singh from Bihar's Purnia. Check Candidates Named by Congress in 8th List.
The Congress has also decided to replace its candidate from Maharashtra's Chandrapur, where Suresh Dhanorkar has been fielded, and Vinayak Bangade revoked. The decision was taken a day after Maharashtra Congress chief Ashok Chavan purportedly venting his frustration in a leaked audio conversation over the high command not going by choice of candidate from Chandrapur.

With this list, the Congress has so far named its candidates from 217 constituencies. The BJP, meanwhile, has unveiled its faces from 286 seats.
The final day for filing nominations for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019 is tomorrow. The grand electoral battle would kick off on April 11, and would commence on May 19. The counting of votes is scheduled on May 23.
