The Indian National Congress (INC) on Friday released its 14th list of candidates for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress party announced three candidates for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
New Delhi, March 29: The Indian National Congress (INC) on Friday released its 14th list of candidates for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress party announced three candidates for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. The grand old party announced one candidate for Gujarat and two candidates for Himachal Pradesh. In Gujarat, Dr Tushar Chaudhary has been fielded from Bardoli constituency which is reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot's Son to Contest From Jodhpur, Manvendra Singh From Barmer.
In Himachal Pradesh, Ashrey Sharma is fielded from Mandi, while Dr Dhani Ram Shandil is fielded from Shima (SC) seat. In the 2014 general elections, BJP's Ram Swaroop Sharma won the Mandi seat with a heavy margin of 3,62, 824. Saffron Party's Virender Kashyap defeated Mohal Lal Brakta of INC with a thumping margin of votes from Shima (SC) seat. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Congress released the 13th list of 31 candidates for Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. The party has fielded Vaibhav Gehlot, son of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, from Jodhpur parliamentary constituency. The grand old party has fielded Manvendra Singh, son of former BJP leader Jaswant Singh from Barmer seat.
