New Delhi, March 28: The Congress on Thursday released its 13th list of 31 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019. The grand old party announced six candidates each for Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, and 19 candidates for Rajasthan. The Congress has fielded Vaibhav Gehlot, son of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot from the Jodhpur parliamentary constituency of the state. While former Union Minister Bhanwar Jitendra Singh is contesting from Alwar and Manvendra Singh, son of former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singh from Barmer seat. Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Congress Releases Sixth List of Candidates, Names 9 People For Kerala and Maharashtra.

In Gujarat, the party has fielded Lalit Kagathara from Rajkot, VK Khant from Panchmahal and Jagdish Thakor from Patan. Meanwhile in Uttar Pradesh, Congress has given a ticket to Niaz Ahmed from Deoria, Major JP Singh from Sambhal and advocate Shiv Sharan Khushwaha from Jhansi. Congress' 10th List of 38 Candidates For Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Sanjay Nirupam From Mumbai North-West.

On March 26, the grand old party in its 12th list gave a ticket to Naresh Maheshwari from Gujarat’s Kachchh and Dharmesh Patel from Navsari Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency of the state. Meanwhile, from Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur, the party fielded Sanjay Kapoor from Rampur against Samajwadi Party’s stalwart Azam Khan. Till now, the Congress has declared 293 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The general elections for 543 constituencies will take place in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The counting of votes will take on May 23, and the results will be declared on the same day. The polls will be held in 1,035,918 polling stations across the country compared to 928,000 set up during the last Lok Sabha election in 2014.
