New Delhi, March 25: The Congress on Monday released the tenth list of 26 candidates for Lok Sabha elections 2019. The list includes 25 candidates for West Bengal. The grand old party has fielded Mohammed Alam from Barrackpur, Nepal Mahato from Purulia, Quazi Abdul Rahim from Basirhat, Pratul Saha from Hooghly, and Imam Hossain from Birbhoom. From Kolkata Dakshin, the Congress has given a ticket to Mita Chakraborty, and from Diamond Harbour Soumya Aich Roy is contesting the general elections. Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Congress Releases Sixth List of Candidates, Names 9 People For Kerala and Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the party has given a ticket to Sanjay Nirupam from Mumbai North-West. In the previous lists, Eknath Gaikwad was named as the Congress candidate from Mumbai South-Central and from Nanded, Ashok Chavan got the ticket. The Congress today also appointed former MP Milind Deora as the President of Mumbai Regional Congress Committee.

The grand old party today also announced the names of four candidates for Odisha Legislative Assembly elections. The Congress has fielded Biren Senapati From Rourkela, Ramesh Purohit from Patnagarh, Shyamghan Pradhan from Udyagiri and Shambunath Panigrah from Hinjli against the incumbent chief minister Naveen Patnaik.

Congress candidates for Odisha Assembly elections:

The Lok Sabha elections 2019 will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19. The results will be declared on May 23. Odisha is also going for assembly elections in four phases along with the general elections.
