Amaravati, April 8: The election to Chodavaram, Darsi, Denduluru, Dharmavaram and Dhone assembly constituency of Andhra Pradesh will be held on April 11. The results of Chodavaram, Darsi, Denduluru, Dharmavaram and Dhone assembly elections will be declared on May 23. The five Vidhan Sabha seats will see a tough electoral fight between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).
Of the five seats mentioned above, the TDP won Chodavaram, Darsi, Denduluru and Dharmavaram seats in the 2014 polls. The Dhone Assembly seat was bagged by the YSRCP. The process of filing nomination for Chodavaram, Darsi, Denduluru, Dharmavaram and Dhone constituencies began from March 18 and the last day was March 25. Of the 175 seats, the TDP bagged 102 in the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls. The YSRCP won 67 seats, while the BJP got four. Navodyam Party (NP) got one seat. One independent candidate also won.
