Chittorgarh is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies of Rajasthan. The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the fourth phase on April 29. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Chandra Prakash Joshi from Chittorgarh Lok Sabha Constituency, while the Congress has given the ticket to Gopal Singh Shekhawat. In 2014 elections, BJP candidate Chandra Prakash Joshi had won from Chittorgarh Lok Sabha Constituency defeating Congress candidate Girija Vyas with a margin of over three lakh votes. Meanwhile, in 2009 elections, Vyas had bagged the seat on the Congress ticket.

The Election Commission of India on March 10 announced the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The general elections will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, and the results will be declared on May 23. Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place in this phase for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha Assembly Elections 2019.
