New Delhi, Feb 23: A furious Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday lashed out at the ruling BJP at Centre after a police team was sent to his residence in connection to the case of assault against Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash. Marking his dissent, the Delhi Chief Minister asked whether the allegations levelled against BJP president Amit Shah would be probed with a similar zeal.

"Entire house of a sitting CM is being searched on allegations of 'two slaps'. But when will Amit Shah be questioned in connection to Justice Loya's death," the AAP convenor said.

The Supreme Court is hearing two petitions seeking an independent enquiry into the death of former Special CBI judge BH Loya, who died on November 29, 2014. Official records claim he died of a midnight cardiac arrest.

Administrative logjam in Delhi

Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday stated in his report to Union Home Minister Rajnath that Delhi is witnessing an administrative "breakdown" due to the widening rift between the bureaucracy and the elected legislators.

On Friday, Kejriwal's Council of Ministers sought an appointment with LG Baijal to request him to ensure bureaucrats cooperate in the governmental affairs.

The AAP Ministers would also present the LG their side of the controversy in the alleged assault case.

Two AAP MLAs in judicial custody

Two party MLAs - Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal - were sent to 14-day judicial custody for allegedly assaulting the Chief Secretary at Kejriwal's residence on Monday night.

In his complaint letter to the Delhi Police, Prakash said he was physically abused by the MLAs, which led to bruises on his face and arms.

The accused, however, deny the charge, claiming that the Chief Secretary walked out of the meeting within three minutes, after hurling racist abuse against them.

The meeting, AAP claims, was called to discuss the glitches in Aadhaar system which prevented supply of subsidised ration to several beneficiary households in the national capital. Prakash, however, countered the claim, saying the late-night meeting was called to discuss the release of government advertisements.
