The ABP news -CSDS exit poll survey has predicted a clear majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that the BJP will win 52 seats in the 90 Chhattisgarh seat assembly. The Congress is predicted to win 35 seats in Chhattisgarh and others are expected to fetch the remaining three seats.

Today's Chanakya exit polls have predicted a clear majority for the Congress party in the 2018 Chhattisgarh assembly elections. The exit poll survey by Today's Chanakya predicts that the Congress will win 50 seats in the 90 seat Chhattisgarh assembly. The BJP is expected to win 36 seats in the state and others will win four seats, according to Today's Chanakya exit polls.

India TV exit polls predict a tight contest in Chhattisgarh assembly elections 2018. The survey says that the BJP can win majority and land up anywhere between 42 to 50 seats. Congress is expected to win anywhere between 32-38 seats.

The Times Now-CNX exit polls say that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win 46 seats Chhattisgarh and reach the majority mark in the 90 seats assembly elections 2018. The Times Now- CNX survey claims that the Congress will end up with 35 seats, Mayawati's BSP and Ajit Jogi's party and CPI alliance will win 7 seats. Others are predicted to win 2 seats.

New Delhi, December 7: The exit poll results of five-state assembly elections 2018 will be declared today, post 5:30pm. Stay tuned above for the live updates of post-election surveys, for the state of Chhattisgarh. While the exit polls may reflect the voters mindset, they don't necessarily give the exact numbers. However, the exit polls  definitely help to understand what to expect as per as the results are concerned.

An important guideline issued by the Election Commission of India (EC) states that news channels cannot publish or show the results of the exit polls before 5.30 pm. This rule has been put in place as voting at some of the centres are extended beyond the stipulated time to accommodate the voters. Leading post poll surveys include ABP News-Nielsen, News 24-Chanakya, India Today-Axis, Times Now-VMR and CSDS. The Election Commission (EC) had announced polling in the state of Chhattisgarh in two phases. The first phase of voting took place for the 18 Maoist violence hit seats on November 12 and the remaining 72 seats went to polls on November 20, 2018 for the 90 seat assembly of Chhattisgarh.

The combined percentage of voting recorded in both the phases of Chhattisgarh assembly elections was 76.35 per cent for the 90-member state assembly. Chhattisgarh witnessed a three-way contest this time with the Raman Singh led ruling BJP being challenged by the Congress as well as Ajit Singh's Janta Congress Chhattisgarh and Mayawati's BSP joining hands to win Chhattisgarh.
