The major parties involved in the 2018 State Assembly Polls in Telangana are All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Telugu Desam Party, Indian National Congress (INC), Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), and Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).
It is the 67th constituency in Telangana. In 2014, it was AIMIM’s Akbaruddin Owaisi who secured victory in Chandrayangutta constituency. It will be a task cut-out for other political entities to take on Owaisi, who has held the seat since 1999.
It is the 68th constituency of Telangana. In the 2014 Assembly Elections, it was Mumtaz Ahmed Khan of AIMIM who won the seat, where he defeated BJP’s Roop Raj comprehensively. Like Chandrayangutta, Yakutputra has been AIMIM’s bastion since 1989, to0.
It is the 69th constituency in Telangana. In 2014, it was Mohd. Moazam Khan of AIMIM who won the constituency defeating TDP’s Abdul Rahman Mahmood. In 2009, it was Moazam Khan who had won the seat too, however, this time he defeated CPI-M’s Mir Ahmed Ali.
It is the 70th constituency of Telangana. The seat has seen different political parties win it in the previous years. In 2014, it was TRS; in 2009, it was Congress, in 2008 by-polls it was TDP, while in 2004 it was TRS. It will be interesting to see which party has the last laugh as the day ends.
It is the 71st constituency in Telangana. In the 2014 Assembly Elections, G Sayanna of TDP won the seat, when he defeated TRS’ Gajjela Nagesh in a narrow margin. Will it TDP, TRS, or INC that will win this time?
It is the 72nd constituency of Telangana. In 2014 Assembly Elections, it was Anumula Revanth Reddy of TDP who won the seat defeating Gurunath Reddy of TRS comprehensively. In 2009 elections too, the result was the same, only this time that Gurunath Reddy fought on a Congress’ ticket.
