The major parties involved in the 2018 State Assembly Polls in Telangana are All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Telugu Desam Party, Indian National Congress (INC), Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), and Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).
It is the 67th constituency in Telangana. In 2014, it was AIMIM’s Akbaruddin Owaisi who secured victory in Chandrayangutta constituency. It will be a task cut-out for other political entities to take on Owaisi, who has held the seat since 1999.
