Sitting on the steps of Jama Masjid, Azad read out the preamble of the Constitution. In his brief address, he said that the fight against the Citizenship Amendment Act is not of Muslims alone. "Peaceful protest is our strength. People from all religions who support us should join us in great number to prove it to the government that these protests are not led by Muslims alone," he told the crowd.

Earlier today, Azad visited a temple. The Bhim Army chief will also visit the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and a church. As per the court's order, Azad will have to leave Delhi before 9 pm. Moreover, he cannot hold any dharna till Delhi assembly elections are over. The Delhi police have been asked to escort Azad to his residence in Saharanpur where he would mark his presence before the SHO at Fatehpur police station on every Saturday for four weeks.

Azad was granted bail on Wednesday. He was arrested in connection with the violence that erupted in the Daryaganj area of the national capital amid protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. During the hearing on Azad's bail plea, Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau rapped the Delhi police for failing to show any evidence against him.
