New Delhi, October 31: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be in Delhi on Thursday, November 1, to meet Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, giving rise to speculations of the possibility of a third front before the assembly election in Telangana and the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The Andhra Chief Minister has been at the forefront of meeting political leaders of the Opposition parties, ever since breaking away from the NDA government over the demand for Special Status for the state of Andhra Pradesh. 

Naidu had met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Sharad Yadav in Delhi a few days before and heavily criticised the BJP led Centre, blaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the crisis in the CBI. Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday, October 30, urged Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to form a united front along with the Congress. In a telephonic conversation, Akhilesh stressed the need for an alliance and to bring other parties under a single umbrella.
