New Delhi, July 17: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati expelled party vice-president and national coordinator Jai Prakash Singh with immediate effect on Tuesday. The decision comes a day after the BSP leader made personal remarks against the leadership of rival parties during his speech in Lucknow on Monday.
"I came to know about BSP national coordinator Jai Prakash Singh's speech in which he spoke against the ideology of BSP & also made personal remarks against the leadership of rival parties. It's his personal opinion. So, he has been removed from his post with immediate effect", Mayawati was quoted by ANI.

On Monday, Jai Prakash Singh took a jibe at Congress President Rahul Gandhi and said he is unfit for being India's prime minister due to Sonia Gandhi's foreign origin. In his speech during the BSP's coordination committee meeting in Lucknow, Singh said Rahul Gandhi can never succeed in Indian politics.
In his address, the expelled BSP leader said, "Cow maybe your mother and not our mother. Our mother is the only one who has given us birth". "Gai ek aachi pashu ho sakti hai, kum khana khake zyada doodh dene wali ho sakti hai lekin gai kisi ki mata nahi ho sakti. Mata wo hi ho sakti hai jisne humein janam dia hai. Gai tumhari mata hogi, humari mata toh woh hai jisne humein janam diya", Singh added.
He further added saying that there would have been some hope if Rahul Gandhi learnt things from his father (former PM Rajiv Gandhi) and not his mother (Sonia Gandhi). "Foreign blood flows in his body. Because of this, I can say with confidence that he can never succeed in Indian politics", the BSP leader added.
