New Delhi, April 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday wrote to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) alleging Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his statement related to a tweet by Amit Shah on NRC. Shah had tweeted, “We will remove every single infiltrator from the country except Buddh, Hindus& Sikhs."

Kejriwal on Thursday said that the BJP is fulfilling Pakistan's agenda of dividing India and asserted that his party would do everything to stop the Modi-Shah duo from coming back to power. Addressing the media after releasing his party's manifesto here, the Delhi chief minister said AAP will support any "secular mahagathbandhan" after the general elections. He added that the BJP's real manifesto is the one line which its party president Amit Shah tweeted in April. BJP Manifesto For 2019 Lok Sabha Elections: List of Major Promises Made in 'Sankalp Patra'.

Quoting Shah's alleged tweet, Kejriwal said this means the BJP's plan is to remove all religions except these three from the country. "Can it be done, is it possible. At least 20-25 crore people come from these religions. So I want to ask Amit Shah what is your plan. Are you going to throw all these people, throw them in the Pacific ocean or would they be mob lynched. What will be done with all these people," he asked. Kejriwal said even Pakistan wants to divide India. "The BJP is fulfilling Pakistan's agenda of dividing India..of weakening it," he added.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, During the campaigning in West Bengal's Kalimpong in Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat and Raigang seat in North Dinajpur the BJP chief had said, "We will ensure implementation of NRC in the country. We will remove every single infiltrator from the country, except Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs."

Here is the Tweet:

In July 2018, the draft NRC was published and included the names of 2.9 crore people out of the total 3.29 crore applications. There has been a huge controversy over the exclusion of 40 lakh people from the draft NRC.
