New Delhi, July 19: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold their two day national executive strategy meet on August 18 and 19. The meeting will take place at NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi to discuss on the strategy ahead of the crucial Assembly polls in three states- Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh later this year followed by the 2019 Lok Sabha election.

According to an Indian Express report, the August national executive meeting will be important for the BJP for several reasons. A BJP leader as quoted in the report said, "The August national executive meeting will be important for the BJP for the reason that the party would seek ideas from party leaders to deal with the prospects of the Opposition unity in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.Besides, the BJP would be enlisting party leaders for extensive outreach to connect with the people. Furthermore, Shah would be calling for party leaders from other states to camp in the poll bound states in the year-end Assembly election."

Reportedly, the meeting was scheduled to take place before but was delayed because BJP President Amit Shah was travelling across the country . The last meeting of the national executive took place in September last year. Narendra Modi was in Midnapore few days back to address the Kisan Kalyan Rally, even though it was marred by the tent collapsing, and injuring several people, but he still managed to slam Mamata Banerjee's government.
