Kolkata, May 19: With the final phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 underway in West Bengal, reports are coming that BJP camp office in Kadampukur area of Barasat constituency has been vandalised on Sunday morning. The BJP has blamed Trinamool Congress for the attack, while no TMC has been denying it.

According to the initial reports, miscreants have vandalised the BJP camp office this morning. Chairs and temple in the office have been vandalised and curtains set ablaze. Reports of throwing bombs are also coming from Bhatpada Assembly constituency, where vehicles have been set on fire. In Kolkata, TMC councillor Subhash Bose has been detained. West Bengal Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Phase 7: Polling Begins in Basirhat, Dum Dum, Jadavpur and Other 5 Constituencies. 

TMC heavyweight Dr Kakali Ghoshdostidar is contesting the Lok Sabha Elections and she had previously won the seat in 2014. The BJP, meanwhile, had accused the Trinamool Congress of the attack, while no comments have come from the state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led party.

Along with this, reports of EVM malfunctioning is being reported from several places of the state. The polling is currently taking place for nine constituencies in West Bengal. The results would be declared on May 23.
