New Delhi, July 26: Bharatiya Janata Party MP Nishikant Dubey today took a dig at Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his statement, 'Now BJP MPs take two steps back thinking I'll hug them.’ Speaking to news agency ANI, Dubey said, “Yes we do fear hugging Rahul Gandhi as our wives might divorce us after that. Also, Section 377 hasn't been scrapped as yet. If he gets married, we will hug him."

Yesterday, the Congress president joked at BJP leaders that now they would take two steps back on spotting him. During a gathering at Delhi said, “It is very interesting how this works, because now whenever I come across BJP MPs, they take two steps back... we have to be careful he is going to hug us.”

The BJP trolled Gandhi for hugging Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha during the debate on  ‘no-confidence motion’ on Friday. Even the PM was taken by surprise when the Congress president hugged him. Speaking at the debate during the motion, PM Modi slammed Gandhi and termed it as "childish antics”.  How, the opposition lost the ‘no-confidence motion’ as it received only 126 votes in its favour, while the 325 votes were polled against the motion.
