New Delhi, August 8: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to extend their membership campaign by nine days, and it will now continue till August 20. According to an ANI update, earlier the drive was supposed to conclude on August 11 but has been extended because BJP MPs couldn't participate in it.BJP Organic Entity Not an Assembled One: PM Narendra Modi Tells Party MPs.

On August 3, the Delhi BJP announced that over nine lakh new members were enrolled till then. The membership campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi on the birth anniversary of party ideologue Syama Prasad Mookerjee, on June 6.

By setting up desks at malls, educational institutions and temples in the city, the party is also using these methods to gain the attraction of the people and attract more members. Assessment meetings have been taking place in various cities to see the progress of the campaign drive.

Earlier reports mentioned that enrollment campaign for active membership was to be held from August 12 to 31, this date is also expected to change now as the membership campaign drive got extended.
