BJP Candidate Sunny Deol Is Clueless About Balakot Air Strikes – Watch Video
Sunny Deol is the BJP candidate from Gurdaspur, Punjab, contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
Sunny Deol, popular Bollywood actor, has now joined active politics, along with his Dillagi co-star Urmila Matondkar. Both the stars are contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. While Urmila is contesting on a Congress ticket from Mumbai, Sunny Deol is the BJP candidate from Gurdaspur, Punjab. Sunny Deol has begun his campaign for elections but it looks like he has not been given the complete manifesto. Recently, during a campaign, a channel asked Sunny Deol if the Balakot air strikes will work in favour of BJP in the elections. The air strikes were a retaliatory attack India carried out on terrorist outposts near the Line of Control (LoC), after the terrorist suicide bombing in Pulwama, Kashmir which killed more than 40 soldiers. Balakot Strike: After IAF Hit JeM Camps, Pakistan Scrambled Jets From 8 Bases But Was 10 Minutes Late, Say Reports.
However, Sunny Deol seems unaware of it, as seen in the below video posted by NDTV:
Interestingly, Sunny Deol's inspiration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, never misses out on an opportunity to mention the Pulwama attack and the Balakot air strikes in any of his election rallies. So it is surprising that Sunny Deol is unaware of these events. Forget elections campaign points, they were major headlines.
Let's give Sunny Deol some slack here, as in the video, he reiterates many times that he only wants to serve the people of his constituency. So the topics like Balakot air strikes don't really matter if that's your agenda as an MP, do they?
Sunny Deol's decision to contest elections has surprised many, since the actor has never earlier shown an inclination to be a part of politics. That said, his father, Dharmendra has been an elected MP (for BJP) in the past, while his step-mother, Hema Malini is also serving as an MP from Mathura.
