Bhadrak is one of the key Lok Sabha constituencies of Odisha. The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the fourth phase on April 29. In 2014 election, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Arjun Charan Sethi defeated Congress candidate Sangram Keshari Jena by a margin of 1,79,359 votes. While BJP candidate Sarat Dash came at the third spot. Sethi had continuously won this seat five times from 1998-2004 on the BJD ticket.

On March 10, the Election Commission of India announced dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The elections will take place in seven phases, and the results will be declared on May 23.
