The Beri Vidhan Sabha constituency lies in the Jhajjar district of Haryana and in the Rohtak Parliamentary constituency. Dr Raghuvir Singh Kadian of the Congress won this seat in Haryana Assembly Elections 2019. The results were declared on Thursday, October 24. Dr Kadian has won the seat for the sixth time now. Beri was earlier part of the Rohtak district. A stronghold of the Congress, Beri has a total number of 173912 registered voters. Voting in Beri for Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 took place on October 21.

Beri had been a Congress-dominated constituency for years with Dr Raghuvir Singh Kadian having been a five-time MLA of the INC from the seat. Dr Kadian defeated Independent candidate Chatar Singh in the Haryana Assembly Elections 2014. Other candidates on this seat for the 2019 polls included Om Prakash of the INLD, Vikram of the BJP and Ashvini Kumar of the AAP.

The ECI used around 1.3 lakh Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for Haryana elections.

Assembly Elections 2019 were also simultaneously held in Maharashtra. These state polls came just months after the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, in which the BJP witnessed a massive victory, returning to power in the country.
