Balasore is one of the key Lok Sabha constituencies of Odisha. The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the fourth phase on April 29. Following the delimitation in 2008, it comprises of seven assembly seats -Badasahi, Jaleswar, Bhograi, Basta, Balasore, Remuna and Nilagiri. The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has fielded Rabindra Kumar Jena, while the Congress has given the ticket to Navajyoti Patnaik from Balasore.
