On Thursday, Khan made disrespectful comments to Rama Devi, who was officiating the Chair. According to an ANI tweet, he was quoted saying, "Aap mujhe itni acchi lagti hain ki mera mann karta hai ki aap ki aankhon mein aankhein dale rahoon'. Which means, "I am so fond of you that I feel like staring at your eyes."
Following which, Rama Devi asked Khan to refrain from using such remarks. "This is not the way to speak, please expunge these remarks.", she said. Azam Khan in his defence said that he respects her and looks up to her as his sister.
This is not the first time that Khan has passed such offending remarks on a woman. During an election rally this year, talking about Jaya Prada, he made obnoxious underwear comments. He was quoted saying, "I brought her (Jaya Prada) to Rampur. You are a witness that I did not allow anyone to touch her body. It took you 17 years to identify her real face but I got to know in 17 days that she wears khaki underwear."
