At All-Party Meet Ahead of Parliament's Winter Session, PM Modi Says Focus Must be on 'People-Centric Issues'

New Delhi, November 16: The Winter Session of the Parliament, which is expected to witness roary scenes and chaotic debates over Centre's proposed Citizenship Amendment Bill, is set to begin from Monday. Prime Minister Narendra while addressing the all-party meeting today said the focus of all parliamentarians should be on development and people-centric issues. Winter Session of Parliament From November 18 Till December 13, 2019.

The all-party meeting was called by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to chart out the broad issues and legislations which would be taken up for discussion in the Parliament. Birla, while speaking to the MPs, appealed for smooth functioning of the House.

To the Opposition camp. Birla assured that their concerns would be respected by the House. The issue which the Opposition benches want to raise will be allowed after discussion in the Business Advisory Committee, he said.

Among key leaders who attended the all-party meeting include PM Modi, Parliament Affairs Minister Prahlad Patel, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, DMK leader T R Balu and TMC leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay among others.
