The venue of Chhattisgarh chief minister-designate Bhupesh Baghel's oath taking ceremony has been changed from Science College ground to Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur, due to continuous rainfall.
Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath has taken oath as chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. Several opposition leaders, including Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, are present the event.
Ousted chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is also present at the swearing-in ceremony of Kamal Nath.

Bhopal, December 17: Veteran Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot, Kamal Nath and Bhupesh Baghel will take oath as chief minister of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. While Kamal Nath and Bhupesh Baghel take oath alone, in Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot will be sworn-in as deputy chief minister. In Rajasthan, the swearing-in ceremony of Gehlot and Pilot will be held around 10 AM at Albert Hall in Jaipur. The oath-taking event of Nath will be held around 1 PM at the Jamboori Maidan in Bhopal instead of Lal Parade Ground as announced earlier. "I will take oath alone," Kamal Nath said, when asked who else will take oath along with him as cabinet ministers. Baghel will be sworn-in as chief minister of Chhattisgarh at a function at science college grounds in Raipur. Congress president Rahul Gandhi will be attending all the three oath-taking ceremonies. Besides, a host of opposition leaders are expected to attend the events. Prominent opposition leaders likely to be present include former prime minister HD Devegowda and Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah.
Other leaders invited for swearing-in ceremonies include AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal, TMC leader Dinesh Trivedi, LJD leader Sharad Yadav, JMM's Hemant Soren, Jharkhand Vikas Manch leader Babulal Marandi, Swabhimani Paksha leader Raju Shetty and former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will not attend the swearing-in ceremony of Nath. Trinamool Congress leader Dinesh Trivedi will be representing the party.
The Congress won 114 seats out of the 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections held on November 28. It fell two seats short of the half-way mark, but ensured the support of 121 MLAs with Samajwadi Party (one seat), Bahujan Samaj Party (2) and four Independents backing it.
In Rajasthan, Congress has emerged as the single-largest party with 99 seats, though they are one seat short of a majority. Its pre-poll alliance partner Rashtriya Lok Dal has won one seat and together, they have garnered 100 seats, which makes for the majority mark. The BJP gained 73 seats in the assembly elections held in Rajasthan on December 7 for 199 seats out of 200.
In Chhattisgarh, the Congress registered a landslide victory, winning 68 out of 90 seats. The BJP, which had 49 MLAs in the outgoing assembly, was reduced to 15 seats.
