It seems that all is not well in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) camp at the moment. After senior party leader, Ashutosh left the party this past week; another unprecedented exit has left many shocked. Ashish Khetan, another prominent figure in AAP, announced his departure from Arvind Kejriwal-led party, on Wednesday.
Widespread speculations are doing the rounds that Khetan wanted to contest on a Lok Sabha seat from Delhi, whereas the party wished to have a new face to fight on the same seat. As per a Hindi daily, it is reportedly said that the former vice-president of Delhi Dialogue Commission, Khetan, had sent his resignation via e-mail to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on August 15.
Here’s a glimpse of what went into Ashish Khetan’s leaving AAP:

However, Ashish Khetan, took to his social media account Twitter to clarify on the same. On his Twitter account, he wrote, “I am completely focused on my legal practice and not involved in active politics at the moment. Rest is all extrapolation.”

At the moment, nothing is official about Khetan’s exit from Aam Aadmi Party. However, news reports have indicated that the disgruntled leader has left AAP after being denied to contest Lok Sabha Elections 2019 from Delhi seat. This shock departure would surely rattle the party, given that other senior leaders Kapil Mishra, Dr. Kumar Vishwas, and Ashutosh are already at loggerheads with party chief Arvind Kejriwal.
