Hyderabad, December 2: BJP's firebrand leader and chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath on Sunday targetted AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and the Hyderabad MP will have to flee from Telangana if the BJP comes to power in the state. Yogi Adityanath made the statement on Asaduddin Owaisi at a public gathering in Tandur, Vikarabad ahead of the December 7 assembly elections in Telangana.

"If BJP comes to power, I assure you Owaisi will have to flee from Telangana the same way Nizam was forced to flee from Hyderabad," Adityanath said, as reported by news agency ANI. The BJP has been targetting Owaisi and his younger brother Akbaruddin during its elections campaign. Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought to appeal to Telangana pride when he referred to Akbaruddin's recent remark that whoever became the chief minister had to bow before his party. "A leader recently said whoever became the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh-Telangana had to be at his feet (Kadmon ke neeche).. Will you want a CM who bows at the feet of some leader instead of the people of Telangana," Modi asked at a poll rally at Mahbubnagar.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Asaduddin Owaisi said that the BJP would be defeated in Telangana assembly elections as "Allah is with us". "Allah will defeat Narendra Modi, Allah will defeat Rahul Gandhi and others as he is with us," senior Owaisi said at an election rally in Maqta, Khairatabad.
