Asaduddin Owaisi, Under Fire For Opposing Centre's Kashmir Move, Says He Could be Killed by 'Godse Ki Aulaad'
Owaisi's alarming remarks came on being asked by news agency ANI of the criticism he has come under after condemning the Narendra Modi government over its "adventurous" move in Kashmir. Hyderabad, August 14: Controversial lawmaker Asaduddin Owaisi, who has drawn flak from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its supporters for his vociferous opposition to abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir, said he "could be killed" by the followers of Nathuram Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi.

"I believe that one day someone will also kill me. I believe that Godse ki aulaad can do this to me. The successors of Godse are still living in our nation," the AIMIM chief said.

Further justifying his criticism of Article 370 revocation in Kashmir, Owaisi said the decision undermines the federal structure of the nation, and could be adversely used against others state also in the future.
"I'm an MP but can I go to Arunachal Pradesh & Lakshadweep? I've to take a permit for it. Can I buy land in scheduled areas of Assam, I can't. I'm telling people of Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Assam and Himachal that it will happen there too," he said.
This govt is talking to Naga separatists, they've not even surrendered their weapons yet. When a big Naga leader passed away, they had their own flag there along with the tricolour, ppl from govt went there, didn't they remember two flags then? Who are you trying to fool," Owaisi further added.
