Asaduddin Owaisi Hits Out at Mohan Bhagwat Over Hindu Remark, Says 'RSS Chief Cannot Erase My History in India'

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday slammed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat for his remark that Muslims in India are the happiest because of Hindus. Owaisi said that the RSS chief could not erase his history in India.

Hyderabad, October 13: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday slammed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat for his remark that Muslims in India are the happiest because of Hindus. Owaisi said that the RSS chief could not erase his history in India. In a tweet, the AIMIM chief said, “Bhagwat cannot erase my history in India by renaming it ‘Hindu’. It won’t work. He cannot insist that our cultures, faiths, creeds & individual identities all be subsumed by Hinduism. Bharat na kabhi Hindu Rashtra tha, na hai, na hi kabhi banega Inshallah.”

In another tweet, Owaisi said that Bhagwat could not reduce his "Indianness" by linking Indian Muslims to foreign Muslims. He also stated that the Hindu Nation is equal to Hindu supremacy. He tweeted, “No matter how hard Bhagwat tries to link us to foreign Muslims, it will not reduce my Indianness. Hindu Rashtra=Hindu Supremacy. Owaisi's Tweet:

Bhagawat, while addressing a meeting of intellectuals in Bhubaneswar on Saturday said that Muslims in India are the happiest because of Hindus. He further added that Hindu is not a name of a language, province or country but a culture of people living here.

Earlier on Vijaydashami, Bhagwat, in "state of the nation" address had said that “Bharat is a Hindu Rashtra”. He had also said Hindus need to unite if they want to be heard by the world. His remarks drew flak from various Sikh organisations. Owaisi had also hit out at the RSS chief for his comments.
