New Delhi, June 12: Delhi Chief MinisterArvind Kejriwal, along with his Deputy Manish Sisodia and two other ministers - Gopal Rai and Satyendra Jain - spent the night on Monday in the waiting room of the office of Lt Governor Anil Baijal in a dharna of sorts. Kejriwal and his ministers are demanding a direction from the LG to IAS officers to end their "strike" and have also said that action must be taken against officers who have stalled work for "four months".

On Tuesday morning, Kejriwal and his ministers tweeted a Good morning message for the people of Delhi saying, "Sangharsh jaari hai (The struggle continues)." They have written a letter to Baijal asking him to take all necessary steps to end the "strike" by IAS officers including issuing written orders that all those officers who do not return to work will be proceeded against and "if necessary, ESMA may be invoked".

The letter, written by four ministers to Baijal, starts with "On behalf of the people of Delhi, we are here (L-G office) before you (Baijal) today".

However, the L-G office slammed Kejriwal's sit-in, saying it was another protest in the sequence of "dharna without reason". A statement, issued by Baijal's office on Monday evening, stated that the L-G was "threatened" to summon officers and issue directions to them to end their "strike" immediately.
