Mumbai, September 27: The Arjuni Morgaon seat of Maharashtra assembly will go to polls on October 21. In Arjuni Morgaon assembly constituency, the main contest will be between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. While BJP will contest in an alliance with the Shiv Sena, the Congress has tied up with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). The incumbent MLA from Arjuni Morgaon seat is BJP's Badole Rajkumar Sudam who has been defeated by NCP's Chandrikapure Manohar Gowardhan. Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019: BJP Gets Lion's Share, Shiv Sena Agrees on Fewer Seats.

According to the Election Commission’s schedule for Maharashtra assembly elections, candidates can file nominations till October 4. Nominations will be scrutinised the next day. Nominations can be withdrawn by October 7. Polling will be held on October 21. The counting of votes will take place on October 21 and the results will be declared on the same day. The term of Maharashtra assembly ends on November 9. Nearly 9 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise. Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019: Congress-NCP to Contest on 125 Seats Each.

The BJP, in 2014 Maharashtra assembly elections, emerged as single largest party winning 122 seats. The Shiv Sena bagged 63 seats, whereas the Congress won 42. The NCP could win 41 seats. Bahujan Vikash Aghadi and the PWP won three seats each. AIMIM candidates were elected from two constituencies.
