Amaravati, May 23: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to tender his resignation after Jaganmohan Reddy's YSRCP secured a big lead in Assembly polls in the state. Chandrababu Naidu may resign as chief minister by this evening.
According to trends available till 12 noon, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has got lead on 149 out of 294 seats in Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was ahead in 25 Assembly constituencies. Jana Sena was leading on just one seat.
Of the 175 seats in the state Assembly, the TDP bagged 102 in the 2014 polls. The YSRCP won 67 seats, while the BJP got four. Navodyam Party (NP) got one seat. One independent candidate also won.
