Mumbai, July 3: Congress leader and President of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee Sanjay Nirupam has taken a potshot at Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal after a Foot-over-Bridge (FOB) collapsed in Mumbai's Andheri halting the train services in the city and bringing it to a halt. Heavy rains since early morning in Mumbai brought down part of Gokhale Bridge, which connects Andheri East to West. The collapse affected the overhead wires too. Trains on the western line have been affected said BMC. Fire Brigade as well as RPF Staff and Officers are deputed on spot for support. Traffic above and below the bridge is stopped for now, as per latest updates.
Sanjay Nirupam wrote in his tweet that "Railways FoB has collapsed. The part time Rail Min Piyush Goyal is in Mumbai today and that's how recently repaired bridge has welcomed him. Its commuters peak time. Hope local services will resume soon.(sic)"

It has been raining heavily since the morning in Mumbai and things have become worse with the train services coming to a halt due to the collapse of the foot-over-bridge in Andheri.
