In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Kanwar Singh Tanwar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat. Humera Akhtar of the Samajwadi Party was at the second spot and Farhat Hasan of the BSP ended up at the
third spot from the seat.
Lok Sabha Elections 2019 were held across the 29 states and 7 Union Territories (UT) between April 11 and May 23. While voting took place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, the General Election results are scheduled to be announced on Thursday, May 23.
