New Delhi, October 14: In a dramatic turn of events, former Indian team capital Sourav Ganguly was elected as the consensus candidate to be the next BCCI President. Union Home Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah's son Jay Shah will be the new secretary while Arun Singh Dhumal will be the new treasurer. Dhumal is the younger brother of Minister of State (MoS) for Finance and former BCCI president Anurag Thakur. Sourav Ganguly, All Set To Become BCCI President, Admits That It Will Be a Challenging Job.

Rupa is the wife of Gurunath Meiyappan, who is serving life ban for IPL spot-fixing scandal. Jaydev Shah, who is the son of former BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah, was elected as president of Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) last month.
