New Delhi, May 29: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Amit Shah and Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader Kanimozhi on Tuesday resigned as Rajya Sabha members after being elected to Lok Sabha.

Ravi Shankar Prasad was elected to the Upper House in March 2018. DMK leader Kanimozhi, who was elected to Rajya Sabha in June 2013, scripted her first win in a general election. She defeated her BJP rival by over 3.47 lakh in Thoothukkudi constituency.
