Telangana, Sep 15: Kicking off Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s election campaign in Telangana, party president Amit Shah on Saturday assured that BJP will form such a Telangana where neither the Dalits nor the tribals will be oppressed and farmers will not be shot at. Shah informed that the party will fight on all seats in Telangana and insisted that his party will emerge as a strong and decisive force in the poll-bound state.

While addressing party workers and leaders of Telangana's Mahbubnagar, Shah launched a scathing attack on Congress and its President Rahul Gandhi and said, "Rahul baba dreams that Congress govt will be formed here in Telangana. The people of Telangana have not forgotten how PV Narasimha Rao was insulted. It is only now you remember of forming a govt here".

Setting poll bugle for the ensuing assembly elections in Telangana, Shah took a dig at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and accused him of indulging in politics of appeasement. Shah said in 2014, TRS party promised a dalit CM which has long been forgotten as KC Rao did not live up to the tall promises and in fact, hasn't undertaken any developmental work during his tenure.

"Modi ji says if elections are held together it'll save expenses. I ask KCR why did he pre-pone elections? Are you not confident of your victory in May? If not then you can't form a govt in Nov-Dec either",  Shah said.

Shah also accused the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of doing politics of vote bank and appeasement in the state. "KC Rao initially supported one nation one poll proposed by the BJP but did a U-turn by dissolving the assembly. He has forced a small state to bear the expense of the assembly and Lok Sabha polls. Why has he imposed colossal expenditure on the people of Telangana," Shah said at a press conference in Hyderabad.
