Jodhpur, December 3: Home Minister Amit Shah, in a rally in Rajasthan's Jodhpur, challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to a debate on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and took a jibe at the Gandhi family by adding that he is "willing to translate CAA into Italian." Leading a pro-CAA rally, the BJP president also alleged that the Congress party was spreading "lies" and misinformation about CAA in the country. Naming the TMC, Congress and opposition parties, Shah said that "even if all these parties come together, BJP will not move back even an inch on this issue of Citizenship Amendment Act."
Speaking on the recent deaths of over 100 children in Kota, Amit Shah attacked Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot. "Instead of opposing this (Citizenship Amendment Act) first focus on the children who are dying in Kota everyday, show some concern, mothers are cursing you," said Shah at the rally.
