Amit Shah Blames Former PM Jawaharlal Nehru For Kashmir Issue, Says 'State is Integral Part of India'

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Sunday during a rally in Jammu blamed former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru for the Kashmir issue. He said that the issue persists till date due to the false policies of Nehru.

Jammu, February 24: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Sunday blamed former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru for the Kashmir issue. During a rally in Jammu, he said that the issue persists till date due to the false policies of Nehru. "I want to tell him [Congress chief Rahul Gandhi] that if questions are being raised about Kashmir today, it's because of your great-grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru. When our forces were going to conquer PoK, who stopped them? Shah stated that Kashmir is an integral part of the country and “nobody can seize it from India. Referring to Kashmir, he said that the place where Jan Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee martyred belonged to India. The BJP chief also stated that the BJP government has zero tolerance for terrorism. Shah also hit out at political parties of the state. Shah on Kashmir issue:

On Sunday Shah also attended a rally in Amritsar. He alleged that Capt Amarinder’s is a government that stops development schemes. The BJP chief also alleged that the Congress had promised farmers loan waiver in Punjab, but the farmers did not get any benefit yet.

The Kashmir issue gained significance after the Pulwama attack on February 14. Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) claimed responsibility for the attack. JeM terrorist and local resident Aadil Ahmed Dar carried out the suicide attack. The attack claimed lives of 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel.
