Hyderabad, October 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah made a scathing attack on acting chief minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao or KCR for his bonhomie with Asaduddin Owaisi's All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). Shah was speaking at BJP's Yuva Maha Adhiveshan in Hyderabad.

While lauding the role of India’s first Home Minister Sardar Patel in “liberating Hyderabad state from a tyrannical and repressive rule of the Nizam”, Shah slammed the TRS government for not celebrating the Hyderabad Liberation Day officially. "KCR government stopped celebrating Hyderabad Liberation Day because he is afraid of AIMIM and Owaisi," the BJP chief said. Telangana Governor Dissolves Assembly, Asks KCR to Continue as Caretaker CM.

"There will be a change in government in Telangana, and Narendra Modi will become prime minister once again in 2019," Shah added. Taking on 'Grand Alliance' of opposition parties against the BJP, Shah said it is an attempt to break the country. "While Modiji is building 'Make In India', Mahagathbandhan is busy in 'Breaking India'," he said.

The election for Telangana assembly will be held on December 7, and the results for the same will be announced on December 11. KCR dissolved the house last month -- nearly nine months before its terms was to end. While KCR had maintained that the TRS will contest elections independently, he called AIMIM a 'friendly' party.

"We are going to contest election alone, but no doubt we are friends with MIM," the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief had declared.
