Alwar Lynching Case: Muslims Must Stop Smuggling Cows, Says Rajasthan Minister Jaswant Yadav
'I appeal to Muslims to understand the sentiments of Hindus and stop smuggling cows. They must stop this business', is what the minister is reported to have commented when asked about the Alwar lynching case.
Jaipur, July 24: Rajasthan Minister Jaswant Singh Yadav, has appealed to "Muslims to understand the sentiments of Hindus and stop smuggling cows." Referring to the muslims, the minister also said that "they must stop this business. As far as his death is concerned, I express condolence and I stand against those who take law in their hands (sic)." The comment comes in the wake of yet another case of lynching reported, this time from Rajasthan's Alwar, where a 28-year-old Rakbar Khan, was allegedly killed after he was transporting his cows on foot to his village.
Jaswant Singh Yadav, is a Cabinet Minister for Skills Development, Labour and Employment, Factory and Boilers Inspection, ESI, ITI Minister of Rajasthan Government, from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly representing the Behror Vidhan Sabha constituency of Rajasthan. The minister's comment was tweeted by news agency ANI. Check the tweet below:
Rajasthan Home Minister GC Kataria, reacting on Jaswant Yadav's statement, said that, "Jaswant Yadav should answer for himself. The law does not give anyone the right to kill." Check his comment in the tweet below:
Earlier today, the post-mortem report findings of the deceased Rakbar Khan was made public. The autopsy report revealed that Khan's body had 13 injuries and there was a fracture in his wrist and left femur. One of Rakbar’s ribs were also broken. The post-mortem report concluded that Khan died of shock cause by injuries and excessive internal bleeding. The role of police is also under suspicion in the Alwar lynching case, as the Rajasthan Police on Monday admitted "error of judgement" in handling the case of alleged lynching of 28-year-old Rakbar in Alwar, as it suspended one and transferred three policemen, but it refuted allegations of "custodial death".
