Alka Lamba to Quit AAP, Return to Congress Ahead of Delhi Assembly Elections

New Delhi, September 6: Hours after resigning from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), disgruntled leader Alka Lamba on Friday said she will be rejoining the Congress. Lamba said that she will be joining the Congress again in the presence of interim President Sonia Gandhi at her residence at 10, Janpath. Alka Lamba Quits Aam Aadmi Party, Likely to Join Congress Ahead of 2020 Delhi Assembly Elections.

"I will be going to the residence of Sonia Gandhi at 6 p.m. and will take the primary membership of the Congress in her leadership," she told the media. A former Congress leader, Lamba quit the party to join the AAP and won the 2015 Assembly election from Chandni Chowk.
