Lucknow, March 13: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, taking a dig at UP CM Yogi Adityanath's recent tweet, replied and wrote, "We cannot understand you Chief Minister! Akhilesh Yadav's tweet was in response to CM Yogi Adityanath's tweet targeting the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party's alliance in UP. CM Yogi tweeted on Wednesday that, "People of Uttar Pradesh will cock-a-snook at 'Bua and Babua' Alliance. Time for casteism, nepotism and corruption is over now and politically vigilant people of UP will make sure that 5 multiplied by zero results into zero this time." Earlier in the day, Akhilesh replied to PM Modi's appeal for encouraging voters on Twitter in a satirical way and wrote, "I am delighted that PM is appealing to the #MahaGathbandhan for #MahaParivartan (mega change). I also appeal to all Indian citizens to vote in large numbers and choose a new Prime Minister," replied Akhilesh to PM Modi's appeal to people from various fields to encourage youth to vote in large numbers. Akhilesh was one among the many whom PM Modi had tagged on Twitter in a series of tweet.
On Wednesday evening, Akhilesh Yadav met BSP chief Mayawati for a meeting that lasted for close to two hours. Both the leaders said after the meeting that they will be holding 12 joint rallies in the state of Uttar Pradesh before the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
