Ajit Doval Interacts With Locals in Kashmir After Revocation of Article 370, Says 'Insha Allah Sab Achha Rahega' (Watch Video)
A video has surfaced in which Ajit Doval is heard telling Kashmiris that "Insha Allah sab achha rahega (God willing, everything will be fine)".
Srinagar, August 7: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who has been in Jammu and Kashmir ever since the Modi government announced scrapping of the special status granted to the state under Article 370, interacted with Kashmiris and had lunch with them on Wednesday. A video has surfaced in which Ajit Doval is heard telling Kashmiris that "Insha Allah sab achha rahega (God willing, everything will be fine)".
Doval is sent to Jammu and Kashmir to monitor the situation in the wake of revocation of Article 370 in the state. In the video, the NSA is seen having a conversation with locals reportedly in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian. During the conversation, Doval told locals that the government wanted to ensure the safety and development of people of Jammu and Kashmir. He also ate lunch with them on the street of South Kashmir. "Keep praying...Everything will be fine...Our sole motive is to keep you people safe and bring prosperity here," Doval is heard telling locals. "We want to create an atmosphere where people can live freely and prosper in their lives. We want you, your children and their children to make their name in the world and work for the country and Islam," the NSA tells them. Earlier, Doval met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan in Srinagar. He also addressed groups of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force and the Indian Army personnel to boost their morale in the state's altered scenario. He said he was aware of the danger the security forces in the state worked under as he himself had been a part of the security set-up for the past 52 years.
The Parliament on Tuesday approved a resolution ending applicability of Article 370 of the Constitution to Jammu and Kashmir and passed a bill for the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories. On Wednesday, communication services continued to be blocked in Kashmir, causing inconvenience to the common people. Mobile network anas well as internet services are yet to be restored completely.
