Mumbai, July 20: Yuva Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray, who is on 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, is confident that there would be a Sena Chief Minister in Maharashtra after polls. In an interview, Aaditya Thackeray said Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah have reached to an agreement on the issue.
Asked whether Shiv Sena will also have a chief minister for two-and-half years, Aaditya said: "Of course, the Sena will have a chief minister. And it has been decided between BJP president Amit Shah Ji and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Ji. I was only the fourth person in the room, apart from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis." He also said no matter whether BJP wins more seats or Shiv Sena, power will be shared equally. "It is irrespective. The seat-sharing and power-sharing patterns are irrespective (of number of seats) as declared by CM (Fadnavis) in the press conference. Irrespective of how many seats, whichever party wins," Aaditya said. The Yuva Sena leader also indicated that he won't hesitate to contest the Assembly election if the party asks him. CM Devendra Fadnavis Has Agreed to Reinstate Internal SSC Marks, Says Aaditya Thackeray.
"It’s not something I am completely averse to. I like the workings of the state Assembly or the Lok Sabha. So, that’s not an issue. The thing is I am here to listen to the people. And if the people believe so, the cadre believes so, the party believes so, I would be ready to do so," he said, adding that Shiv Sena will decide on which seat he would contest.
The official aim of Aaditya's 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' is to "thank" the voters for the support given to the party candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. However, the unstated intention is to unveil the party's future 'Chief Ministerial face'.
