Amaravati, April 5: Counting of votes is underway for Achanta, Addanki, Adoni, Allagadda and Alur Assembly elections results in Andhra Pradesh is underway. Elections to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly were held on April 11. Stakes are high for Jagan Mohan Reddy's Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in Addanki, Adoni, Allagadda and Alur assembly constituencies where the party had won in 2014 assembly polls. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), however, had clinched the Achanta assembly seat. Know everything about Achanta, Addanki, Adoni, Allagadda, Alur Assembly elections below.

The process of filing nomination for Achanta, Addanki, Adoni, Allagadda and Alur Assembly polls began from March 18. The last day for nominations was March 25. Scrutiny was done on March 26 and the last date for the withdrawal of the nominations was March 28. Of the 175 seats, the TDP bagged 102 in the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls. The YSRCP won 67 seats, while the BJP got four. Navodyam Party (NP) got one seat. One independent candidate also won.
