New Delhi, October 4: Amid intensive election campaigns by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and other opposition parties for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls, several surveys have predicted that the BJP will win in 2019 and continue to be in power. According to the ABP News- CVoter ‘Desh ka Mood’ survey, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return for a second term in 2019. According to the survey, the overall seat projection for the 2019 polls includes NDA with 276 seats, UPA with 112 seats and others with 155 seats. For the UPA, the survey predicted that the party would be able to make big gains in Uttar Pradesh in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls only if it joins hands with the SP-BSP alliance. It states that the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ will win no less than 56 of 80 seats in the state. The survey further states that the UPA will get a majority in Congress-ruled Punjab. Meanwhile, an internal survey of the saffron party predicted that the BJP will win 300 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. The survey also predicted the saffron party will win 360 seats, which will be about 51 per cent of the total vote share. Some other surveys conducted earlier by several other agencies predict that the NDA would get less than 300 seats. the 'Mood of the Nation’ survey, conducted in May, had predicted that the NDA would get only 274 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats while the UPA would get only 164 seats. Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar Two Faces of NDA for Upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha Elections: JD-U.

According to a report by PTI, the BJP will apply its 'T20 formula' to ensure victory in the 2019 general elections, a senior party leader said. Under the T20 strategy, the party has set a target for every worker to visit at least 20 houses in their area and publicise the Narendra Modi-led government's achievements while having tea.

Meanwhile, BJP chief Amit Shah had in May asserted his party would exceed its current tally of 282 in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. Shah had said it would surmount any challenge that it may face from the opposition which has been trying hard to forge a broad front against it. Shah said he was confident about his his party maintaining its overall sweep of northern and western India, while substantially boosting its numbers in the North-East and southern states, besides West Bengal.
