Jaipur, December 25: In a major reshuffle of bureaucrats in Rajasthan. The Indian National Congress government on Tuesday transferred Sixty Eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, reported news agency ANI. Earlier, just two days after Ashok Gehlot taking the oath, Congress carried out its first reshuffle in the state bureaucracy. Gehlot-led Congress government ordered a transfer of 40 IAS officers and eight Rajasthan Administrative Service officers.
Among those transferred included Ranka who will hold the charge of chairman Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO). Ajitabh Sharma and Rajan Vishal have been appointed as secretary and joint secretary to the chief minister.
Meanwhile, an IAS officer from Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh was transferred within hours after Congress Jobal MLA Kalawati Bhuri claimed collector as a "corrupt officer" and threatened him of transfer.
