New Delhi, May 8: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released the list of its candidates who will fight on the party ticket for the by-poll election seats. The BJP has fielded Mriganka Singh for by-elections to Kairana (UP) Parliamentary constituency. It has fielded Madhav Lal Singh, Munni Devi, Avani Singh and Sujit Ghosh for bye-election to Gomia (Jharkhand), Tharali (Uttarakhand), Noorpur (UP) & Maheshtala (West Bengal) Assembly constituencies.

In a press release, the BJP has said that it decided on the following names for the bye-elections to the Parliamentary Constituency of Kairana and Legislative Assembly constituencies in the four states of UP, Jharkhand, Uttar and West Bengal. News agency ANI has put a picture of the press release list on its Twitter handle:

To recall, the Kairana Lok Sabha seat was represented by Hukum Singh of the BJP who died recently. Mriganka Singh has been given the ticket from Kairana seat by the BJP.

As far the assembly seats are concerned, Madhav Lal Singh has been given the ticket from the Gomia seat in Jharkhand. Munni Devi has got the ticket from Tharali seat in Uttarakhand and Avani Singh has got the ticket from Noorpur seat in Uttar Pradesh. Former IPS officer (retired) Sujith Ghosh has got the ticket from  Maheshtala seat in West Bengal.
