Petrol & Diesel Price Joke by Government! Fuel Price Reduced by Just 1 Paisa/Litre
Even though IOC has admitted the mistake today, but people are trolling the government and mocking them for this crude joke of reducing the price by just 1 paise!
Mumbai, May 30: There was some respite today morning, as news of government slashing petrol and diesel price came out. It brought an end to the 16th consecutive day increase in fuel price. However, n the latest development, Indian Oil Corporation has corrected their earlier figures, so petrol prices went down not by 60 paisa in Delhi & 59 paisa in Mumbai but by just 1 paisa. Diesel prices also went down by just 1 paisa instead of 56 paisa in Delhi & 59 paisa in Mumbai.
According to the revised data, in Mumbai, one litre of petrol is priced at Rs 86.23 as compared to the morning figure which had Rs 85.65. A litre of diesel is now at Rs 73.78 and not Rs 73.20/litre. In Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 78.42 and not Rs 77.83/litre. Similarly, diesel prices in Delhi too is down by only 1 paise to Rs 69.30/litre.
The revised data for Kolkata and Chennai are as follows: One litre of petrol in Kolkata will cost you Rs 81.05 and Rs 81.42. On the other hand, you will be charged Rs 71.85 for one litre of diesel and Rs 73.17 in Chennai.

The constant rise for the last few days caused a lot of inconvenience to the general public. People condemned the Centre for failing to take any action and curb the rise in petrol prices. To which, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan earlier had assured the public that the government will soon take out a solution to tackle the situation. Even though IOC has admitted the mistake today, but people are trolling the government and mocking them for this crude joke of reducing the price by just 1 paisa!
